KUSA/KTVD Owner Gannett Meets Profits

The Denver Business Journal reports today that Gannett, KUSA and KTVD’s parent company, met profits during the fourth quarter:

Media giant Gannett Co. Inc. — parent of Denver television stations KUSA-Channel 9 and KTVD-Channel 20 — reported a fourth-quarter profit Monday on the heels of job cuts and other expense reductions.

Net income was $133.6 million, or 56 cents a share, compared with a loss of $4.71 billion, or $20.65 a share, last year. Revenue declined 14 percent to $1.49 billion.
